Verizon can offer benefits of up to $2,000 when you purchase a Samsung Galaxy S22 phone from them. This includes up to $1,000 trade-in discount and an additional $1,000 credit if you switch to carrier. Buyers will need to trade in “selected” devices and subscribe to an eligible unlimited 5G plan.
According to a leaked screenshot of an off-site company page, courtesy of none other than Evan Blass, Verizon will accept trade-in devices even if they are “old or damaged”. However, not all smartphone models will be eligible for trade-in, of course. Unfortunately, we don’t have information on which models the carrier is willing to purchase. But it should accept most newer devices.
However, the company will not offer the same value for all devices. Recent high-end models like the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, Google Pixel 6 Pro, and Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max will give you more than others. The physical condition of the device will also likely affect its value.
As for the additional $1,000 credit, Verizon says it’s to cover the cost of switching carriers. Unfortunately, that’s all we know so far. The Galaxy S22 series, which will include the vanilla Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra, is expected to go official on February 9, 2022, so you can expect more of these leaks to surface in the coming days.
Samsung is already taking reservations for the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8
We still have over a week left for Samsung’s next Galaxy Unpacked event. The February 9 online event will see the Galaxy S22 trio as well as the Galaxy Tab S8 series, which will also come in three models – Vanilla, Plus, and Ultra – officially step off the cover. Meanwhile, the company is already allowing potential buyers to reserve its upcoming flagship smartphones and tablets.
Reservations basically works like a “notify me” button. However, Samsung is offering a $50 credit to anyone who reserves a unit now. The company may also soon launch other promotional offers such as trade-in discounts to attract buyers. So if you’re looking to pick up one of Samsung’s six upcoming flagships, it might be worth making a reservation now. You don’t need to shell out a penny, but you could get some great deals. Be sure to check Samsung’s official website for your region for exclusive offers. Stay tuned for the official announcement next week.
